The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between communication competences and staff performance in the unique context of Muni University. In the study, a descriptive cross-sectional survey design was used with a sample size of 109. Purposive, stratified and systematic sampling techniques were used to select respondents. Data was analyzed through frequencies and percentages, Spearman rank order correlation, coefficient of determination, and regression. There was a relationship between the dependent and independent variable.

This study delved into how written and non-written communication methods are correlated with the performance of the academic staff of Primary Teachers’ Colleges (PTCs) in Central Uganda. The study was prompted by reportedly the deteriorating performance of the academic staff of most PTCs in the country despite government’s efforts to train and motivate them. The study employed a correlational cross-sectional survey design where both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from a total of 120 respondents comprised of 5 Principals, 7 Deputy Principals, 13 Heads of Department and 95 members of the Academic Staff using questionnaire survey and interview methods. This study examinesthe Role of Effective Communication on Organizational Performance, NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka. The problem that led to the study is the disputes and delays in theaccess to information that would increase performance of staff. The survey research method was adopted for the study and the study relied much on secondary and primary data. The population of this research work was drawn from the Academic and Non-academic staff of UNIZIK. The population is made up of 170 non-academic and 130 Academic Staff. The sample size of 166 was determined using Taro Yamane technique and stratified random sampling.Chi-square x 2 was used to analysis the hypotheses. For instant, there is a significant relationship between effective communication and employee performance in UNZIK. The findings from the study show that effective communication is the remedy to effective and efficient management performance of employees in an organization. The researcher recommends that there is need for every organization to endeavour and make effective communication an essential integral part of its management strategies and map out a strategic ways of storing information's; for this will also reduce loss of essential information and it will help to minimize organizational conflict, less misunderstanding and enhance information management.

This study was per-formed to determine the level of communication skills (verbal, listening, feed-back) of the heads of department of faculties and its relation with some demo-graphic variables. This cross-sectional study was conducted from June 2009 to January 2010. We enrolled all of the heads of departments (N=60) in Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, western Iran. The study examined the effects of organizational co mmunication on administrative performance of staff in a multi campus University i n Ghana, guided with the application of the System theory and a developed conceptual fra mework. The mixed research design was used and a multistage sampling technique was ap plied with 428 staff selected. Questionnaires were administered to 400 staff out o f which 309 (77.3%) questionnaires were returned.
