The present study sought to discover teachers’ perceptions of their job satisfaction based on the demographic characteristics of gender, age and faculty at one university in Jilin province, China. The study used quantitative research method. The sample of the study comprised of 116 participants from eight different faculties in the university. Out of this, 62 were males and 54 were females. The questionnaire instrument used was based on a 5 point-Likert scale from Strongly Disagree 1, Disagree 2, Neutral 3, Agree 4 and Strongly Agree 5. All the items in the questionnaire tested job satisfaction aspects of the faculty members. The data was analysed by the use of the descriptive statistics using Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) software. An analysis of the data by use of ANOVA revealed a significant difference in job satisfaction between the faculties. For the independent variable of age, ANOVA analysis showed that there was no significant difference in job satisfaction between the age groups. As far as the third independent variable of gender was concerned, the result showed that there was no significant difference between males and females in job satisfaction of the teachers in the university. The study was guided by Herzberg (1959) Motivational Hygiene theory. Herzberg believes that employees tend to be motivated by factors like personal advancement, achievement & development, responsibility and recognition in the execution of their duties.

Evaluation of Academic Staff Job Satisfaction at Malaysian Universities in the Context of Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Theory2020 •
Most academic staff don't know what exactly makes them satisfy or dissatisfy at university and based on which effective factors they can improve and increase the level of their outcomes. Dissatisfaction occurred amongst academic staff when they don't receive any basic motivational factors, versa job satisfaction happened when they obtained at least the fundamental facilities and considered via workplace (managers, leaders, and supervisors). There are numerous and effective factors that change attitudes and feelings of academic staff toward the job, likewise, change the level of their outcomes; furthermore, recognizing these effective factors that raise the level of job satisfaction among these group of staff; similarly, analyzing this factor as one of the important organizational factors in the context of Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Theory determined as the main objective of this literature review. Overall, this research endeavors to finding brilliant points and motivational factors that influence job satisfaction and clarifies them in an educational situation such as the university.

The present study was carried out to find out the difference between rural and urban and male and female elementary school teachers on various dimension of job satisfaction. A comparative study of job satisfaction in public and private school teachers at secondary level2010 •
The issue of job satisfaction has always attracted great attention among researchers in various fields including business, industry and the public sector. This study is an attempt to investigate the relationship between teachers' job satisfaction and their attitudes towards students' beliefs and motivation. To achieve the goal, a questionnaire was designed and was administered to a sample of 340 among the English teachers, teaching in Iranian language institutes in Isfahan. After gathering the questionnaires, the quantitative data were categorized, coded and analyzed based upon the main themes and the respective research questions. The results revealed that there are empirically positive significant relationships (t > 2.56, p < 0.001) between teachers’ job satisfaction and their attitudes toward students’ motivation and beliefs. The findings provide us with a better understanding of the nature of the relationship between teachers' job satisfaction and teachers' attitude toward their students' beliefs and motivation. Moreover, finding of the study could be important and helpful to designed professional development programs in order to both enhance skill and knowledge, which result in improving conditions of learning English as a foreign language.

The study aimed to examine the relationship between teachers' motivation and their job satisfaction. The participants of the study comprised 414 teachers selected via random cluster method from different schools in the districts of Erzurum province, east of Turkey. In the study, mixed methods was adopted based on both qualitative and quantitative data. The data were collected via the Multidimensional Work Motivation scale and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale in 2019-2020 school year. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research revealed that the intrinsic motivation of teachers was higher than their extrinsic motivation, and their intrinsic satisfaction was higher than their extrinsic satisfaction. Teaching is regarding as the noblest profession. It is therefore important that those individuals who join the teaching profession should be dedicated and competent in their work. A teacher can perform to the maximum of his capacity; if he/she is satisfied with his/her job. Every profession has certain aspects responsible for job satisfaction along with attitude and teaching is not an exception unless and until a teacher derives satisfaction on job performance and develops a positive attitude towards education, he cannot initiate desirable outcomes to cater to the needs of the society. Only satisfied and well-adjusted teacher can think of the well-being of the pupils. In the light of this background, the aim of this study is to analyze the job satisfaction level among the male and female teachers of Degree Colleges.
