Research activities proved to be the main pillar in every development and transformational process for every society, especially for the student development and transformation process. This research inquires the existing state of scientific research in higher education in Kosovo. In the process, it attempts to understand the problems and difficulties in this filed, as well as the ways to improve the existing state. Main purpose for this research was to draw conclusions and important information in relation to the size of academic and scientific research of higher education students in Kosovo, as well as the importance and the use of results of these researches in practice, including identification of existing problems and recommended appropriate alternative resolutions. Current conditions, especially in relation to investments in the field of student research in Kosovo, are not favorable, also, a general absence of research activities or relevant research activities is noticed, while the improvements in this field may produce extraordinary economic and social effects. Based on the research results, series of causes were identified, starting from the financial and lack of human resources. The purpose of this research is to serve as a platform for discussion and change in decision-making approach and processes in respective public and private institutions in relation to research.

Postgraduate student’s academic activities have an important role in the production and development of scientific knowledge. The present study was mainly aimed at identifying factors which might affect postgraduate students’ scientific and research activities at Mazandaran University. The survey method was used and the data were collected through questionnaire. The sample population was selected through stratified sampling method and consisted of 278 postgraduate students doing their masters and PhD study. The findings of the study showed that there was not a significant difference between the scientific activities of doctoral and master students in terms of gender, marital status and locality. Beta coefficients indicated that the academic activities of the students were affected most by the university facilities (β=0.36) and students' satisfaction with the teachers (β=0.34) and the least (β=0.17) by students’ interaction with professors. Additionally, it can be argued based on ...

Scientific Research in the Higher Education in Albania in Lieu of the Bologna Process: The Case of the European University of Tirana2013 •

During the last decade alone, Kosovo saw higher education institutions going from a phase of low access (less than 12 % in the age group) and relatively poor quality of education and research in one public institution to massive access, very poor quality of education and total lack of research in seven public and over twenty private higher education institutions. Higher education in Kosovo is going through a phase of significant albeit uncontrolled and unplanned, increase of access to higher education. Information available shows that for political reasons the government is establishing new universities in all the bigger cities in Kosovo. These policies have resulted in four new universities being established in the last two years alone. Besides being labeled as 'universities ' against respective legal provisions, they are not preceded by a needs assessment or business plan, they remain underfunded and budgets are allocated only after months in operation, they operate with sparse administration and the new management is manned largely from among the members of the ruling coalition parties. This situation renders Kosovo higher education poles apart from that in any other country in the region.

Survey Regarding the Competence and Interest Towards Research of Romanian University Students2017 •
The formation of scientific research activity (SRA) abilities acquired in comprehensive school is undoubtedly a very important field that has not received a proper attention yet. SRA should be highly stimulated and developed. Scientific research activity is responsible thorough work requiring great self-independence rather than entertainment. It makes student analytical thinking stronger and develops abilities to search for and use information, which helps them with learning how to analyze gathered material, prepare reports, make research presentations etc. Thus, the object of the conducted research is SRA in comprehensive school. The purpose of research is to ascertain how the students of upper secondary comprehensive school in Lithuania evaluate the current SRA system. The following main research questions have been included in the questionnaire: • How do the students evaluate their participation in SRA? • How do the students evaluate the teaching/learning process in Lithuanian comprehensive schools in terms of SRA? • What are the essential promoting and hindering factors of student participation in SRA? • How do the students evaluate scholar`s profession? Research was carried out in January-April, 2011. More than 1300 respondents of senior classes participated in the event. A survey (completing a questionnaire) was chosen as a method for conducting research. The prepared questionnaire comprised open and closed type questions. In order to analyse research data, measures for descriptive statistics (absolute and relative frequencies, popularity indexes) were applied. To identify differences between variables, non parametric chi-square (χ2) criterion was used.

Usage of Students’ Potential in Biomedical and Health Care Research in Bosnia and Herzegovina2021 •
Objective: To provide relevant insight into the current degree of usage of the research potential of students of biomedical sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Method: The chosen data collection method was online surveying via Google search engine. The target group were students of biomedical sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The surveying was conducted in July 2019, and responses were subjected to descriptive statistics. Results: Although the majority of participants claimed that they were familiar with the seminar and scientific papers writing methodology and that the related course is available in their faculty’s curriculum, the quality of such courses may be questioned as the majority of study participants self-reported that they do not possess or did not posses necessary knowledge for writing and publishing a scientific paper. Also, the majority of respondents reported that they have never participated in any scientific research, which questions the involvement of students in...

BACHELOR STUDENTS’ SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITY AT UNIVERSITY: SITUATION ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT POSSIBILITIES2014 •
The formation of scientific research activity (SRA) abilities at university is undoubtedly, a very important sphere that has not received a proper attention yet. SRA should be highly stimulated and developed, particularly at the university level. Scientific research activity is not an entertainment but responsible, thorough work requiring a lot of self-independence. The research was carried out between October 2013 to April 2014. The method of the research was expert survey (‘Delphi study’). It was found that a sufficiently favourable environment is created in universities for carrying out students’ scientific researches. However, seeking to develop students’ scientific research activity, it is necessary to modernize the studies, bringing them nearer to scientific activity, to search for new study forms and methods. Some important factors, strengthening students’ motivation to actively participate in scientific research activity have been identified. It was also found that lecturer’s experience and attention to student’s scientific activity often has a decisive influence on student.
