The main purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Adventure Sports Programme on vital capacity and resting pulse rate. Total thirteen (N=13) subjects were taken from Bachelor of physical education students of Dibrugarh University with ages ranging between 20 to 25 years. The training programme was organised by Dibrugarh University in collaboration with Manipur Mountaineering & Trekking Association, Manipur at Lamdan, Manipur, India at 1250 metre height above sea level. For the study, the pre-test post-test single group design was employed. The experimental treatment was given to the subjects through the selected adventure sports programme i.e. Morning 45 minutes regular conditioning, Bouldering, Rock climbing and Rappelling, Obstacle training, Jungle survival, Trekking, River crossing, Paragliding, Boating, Camping and Social works. To analyse the collected data t-test statistical technique was employed and the level of significant was kept at 0.05 level of confidence. On the basis of the statistical technique, it was concluded that there was not significant improvement of vital capacity (tabulated t 0.05 (24) =1.711 > 0.74) and resting pulse rate (tabulated t 0.05 (24) =1.711 > 0.30).

Assessment of the functional state of the cardiovascular system of students during a mountain hiking tripBackground and Study Aim. In the conditions of hiking trip, a particularly important role is played by the high adaptive abilities of the body, based on the reactivity and lability of functional systems. Of particular importance is the assessment of the functional state of the cardiovascular system of students when participating in a mountain hike. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of physical activity on the state of the cardiovascular system of students in the process of overcoming a mountain hiking trip. Material and Methods. The study involved 30 students aged 18-22 years old who were involved in various sports at the amateur level. The hiking trip lasted six days and covered 114 km. Canyon SportMaster hand-held heart rate monitors were used to determine the power of the students' cardiovascular system. When overcoming climbs during a mountain hike, the rate of heart rate recovery after physical activity was determined (heart rate indicators were recorded be...

The aim of the study was to develop norms in regard to the resting heart rate of male youth habitat of Kashmir valley. The study was conducted on two hundred forty two healthy male youth of Kashmir (attitude: 6070 feet/1850 meters). The age of the subjects ranged from 18 to 23 years. A heart rate monitor with chest strap was fixed on the subject and the wrist watch was tied after calibration to check the heart rate of the subjects. The subjects were then asked to lay down in savasana (corpse pose) for twenty minutes. The resting heart rate were noted at 20 th minute, 22 th minute and at 24 th minute. The average was calculated to determine the resting heart rate of the subjects expressed as HR rest. The other selected supportive variables were age, body weight and height. The collected data was computed with mean, standard deviation, six sigma scale and chi square using SPSS. The study concluded that the developed scales are good normative in references to Kashmir youth in regard to...

The aim of the study was to grade scale selected aerobic fitness (Physiological) variables of high altitude male youth of Kashmir. The study was conducted on two hundred forty two healthy male youth of Kashmir (attitude: 6070 feet/1850 meters). The age of the subjects ranged from 18 to 23 years. The physical variables of the subjects like age, body weight and height were noted down. For selected physiological variables youth were administered submaximal bench step test (American College of Sports Medicine Protocol) for six minutes. To determine the VO2 max., plotting HR-workload combinations calculated by Karvonen heart rate reserve method was adopted. Data was collected using Cardio-Sport heart rate monitor and step test protocol. The selected variables were Resting Heart Rate = RHrest, Target Heart Rate = THR, Maximal Heart Rate = HRmax., Heart Rate at Two minutes of step testing with cadence 15 steps/min = ExHR2min, Heart Rate at Four minutes of step testing with cadence 20 steps...

Investigations concerning the influence of sports trainings carried out in a protected area (Natura 2000 site) on various physiological and biological parameters for athletes2017 •
The study propose a comparative analysis of biochemical and physiological parameters and their dynamics in athletes training in two different locations: the campus stadium in the Oradea University and a protected area- Valea Roşie Natura 2000 site. The research was conducted between 31st of May 2016 –9th of June 2016 on the players of a female volleyball team of Oradea's University Sport Club, aged between 18 and 24. We used Polar RC3 heart rate monitor, monitoring: distance travelled in each exercise, duration, calories consumed, heart rate, minimum and maximum altitude. After the effort, biological samples were taken, analysing the following indices: Creatine kinase (CK), Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and Sideremia; the data interpretation and the results highlighted that organizing outdoor trainings in sites like Natura 2000 has a favourable influence on the biochemical parameters, had a contribution to "breaking" the routine and being a motivating factor for athletes...

EFFECT OF FUNCTIONAL INTERVAL ENDURANCE TRAINING PROGRAMME ON CARDIO-RESPIRATORY ENDURANCE AND MUSCULAR ENDURANCE OF TRIPURA CRICKETERS2015 •
To examine the effectiveness of 12 weeks functional interval endurance training programme on cardio-respiratory endurance and muscular endurance among selected Tripura cricketers. Pre test – post test randomized group design were undertaken for the present study which consist of an experimental group and control group. Equal number of subjects (n= 30) were assigned randomly to both the groups. The experimental group was exposed to 12 weeks functional interval endurance training programme whereas, no treatment was given to control group. For the purpose of the present research work a total of 60 cricketers were randomly selected for the present research work. Cardiorespiratory endurance and muscular endurance was selected as a dependent variable and 12 weeks functional interval endurance training programme was considered as an independent variable. The data was analyzed by applying analysis of co-variance and post hoc test was used to draw appropriate conclusions and to find out the effect of 12 weeks functional interval endurance training programme on cardio-respiratory endurance and muscular endurance variables among selected Tripura cricketers. The significance level was set at 0.05. The results indicated that there was significant difference found in experimental group selected Tripura state cricketers on cardiorespiratory endurance and muscular endurance variables in comparison to control group. The findings of this study showed that 12 weeks functional interval endurance training programme was an effective training tool to improve a cricketers’ cardio-respiratory endurance and muscular endurance abilities.

Improvement Physical Fitness Level on Mountain Climbing Athletes: High-Intensity Interval Training and Oregon Circuit Training Effect2021 •
The purpose of this study was to compare the impact of giving High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Oregon Circuit Training on cardiorespiratory endurance abilities. This study used an experimental method with a two group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of 20 people, the sample was determined by the total sampling method so that a sample of 20 people was obtained, the sample was then divided into two groups, the HIIT group (10 people) and the Oregon Circuit Training (10 people). The instrument used was the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT). Data analysis using Paired T-Test and Independent T-Test. The results showed that there was an effect of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on the increase in VO2 Max (ρ value = 0.001), there was an effect of Oregon Circuit Training on the increase in VO2 Max (ρ value = 0.002) and, there was no significant effect comparison between High Intensity. Interval Training (HIIT) and Oregon Circuit Training (ρ value = 0.759...
