IntroductionThe diurnal rhythms and their impact on sports performance during the day present the sphere of sports chronobiology which is examined in detail. The diurnal rhythms are the part of circadian rhythms. The circadian rhythms last according to many researches approximately 24 hours (Aschoff, 1990, 1995 and 1998, Arendt, 1998, Zeman, 2009) and are divided in two phases: the first phase (lasting from 3.00 AM to 3.00 PM) and the second phase (lasting from 3.00PM to 3.00 AM). Mentioned phases are characterized by variations of biochemical, physiological and psychological processes including exogenous sports performance. According to the mentioned variations we distinguish the human typology whose organism prefers one part of the day. The morning type of human-being (the morning chronotype) is a type who is more active mainly in the morning. The morning chronotype is able to show and perform maximal physical performance during these morning hours. This type is also known under t...

Data Analysis: Effect of Time-OF-Day on physical fitness components for students of Physical Education Department-Duhok University2020 •
This study was conducted to analysis the effect of Time-OF-Day on physical fitness components for students of Physical Education Department-Duhok University. The aim of this study was to compare the level of some physical fitness components between students of the morning shift and evening shift studies of the first stage in the college of Physical Education, The selected variables for the study were speed by (sprint 60 M test), abdominal endurance by (Abdominal muscles test) , anaerobic power and agility by (5-m multiple shuttle run test) and explosive strength of the arms by (Medicine ball throw test) of both groups were compared by using the statistical package for Scientific Sciences SPSS. The data of this study is not normally distributed. Therefore, non-parametric methods were used to analyze this data (Chi-square and Phi methods). Statistical analysis methods were applied to compare between the students' level in the morning shift and evening shift. When the data were collected for both shift from the physical education department in Duhok University. significant relation was found between all variables and Time-OF-Day except the year of study as there is no significant relation between Time-OF-Day and the year of study.

Influence of circadian rhythm on individual differences in morningness-eveningness scale among normal healthy subjects2020 •
The circadian rhythm is a biological rhythm that produces physical, psychological and behavioural changes in a living organism, and it follows a daily cycle. This cycle depends on the response of the organism to light and darkness in the environment. The aim of the study was to analyse and evaluate the influence of circadian rhythm on individual differences in morningness-eveningness attitude among the normal healthy subjects. Morningness eveningness questionnaire is a standard tool to assess sleep, wakefulness alertness, self-awareness and best time activity of the individual either in the morning time or evening time. This questionnaire was self-administered, and it consisted of 10 questions and was circulated via google forms. The results revealed that a majority of 85% of the participants are evening types of persons and the significance level was a p-value < 0.05 of the chi-square test. The present study assessed the influence of the circadian rhythm on the morningness-eveni...

Morningness-eveningness Preferences among Medical Students: A Cross-sectional StudyIntroduction: Morningness and eveningness is a phenomenon which looks at the differences among the individuals regarding their diurnal preferences, sleep-wake pattern of activity and alertness in evening or morning. Morning chronotypes are individuals who exhibit morning tendencies like rising early in the morning while evening chronotypes prefer to get up later in the morning and stay awake later at night time and also perform their best during late afternoon or evening. Morning chronotypes are known to exhibit better physical and mental health, greater self-esteem and academic performance. Aim: To estimate the prevalence of morningness and eveningness among medical students. Association of chronotype with academic performance was also determined. Materials and Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted on 110 apparently healthy medical students at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Haryana, India from October 2021 to January 2022. All the p...
The aim of this study was to investigate the circadian changes in some physical performance measurements. A total of 25 male volunteer university students (athletes) participated in the study. The athletes were subjected to simple and multiple reaction time, flexibility, vertical jump, dynamic and static balance tests on three different days and periods of time (09.00am, 14.00 pm and 19.00 pm). Oral body temperatures of the subjects were measured prior to each test. As a conclusion, when visual simple and multiple reaction time values were analyzed, the best results were at 09.00. For flexibility and jumping parameters, a gradual increase was seen between morning and evening with an increase in body temperature. In addition, it can be said that in studies conducted on athletes, measurement hours should be chosen carefully based on the parameters to be measured in order to get more correct and reliable results.
The Purpose of this study was to examine the effect of examination on Pittsburgh sleep quality index and Pittsburgh insomnia rating scale. The subjects were sports and non-sports female students that were selected from Basava International School, Dwarka. The age of the subjects ranged from 15 to 19 years. The questionnaires used for this study were Petersburg insomnia rating scale global scoring (PIRSGS) & Pittsburgh sleep quality index global score (PSQIGS). The selected questionnaires were administered before the examination, during the examination and after the examination. The result of the study reveals according to Petersburg Insomnia rating scale sports female players having better sleep quality than that of non-players. The players were superior then that of non-players in regard to variable namely duration of sleep, sleep disturbance, day dysfunction due to sleepiness, need medicine to sleep. The study concludedthat various factors causing poor sleep quality in senior secondary female players and non-players (students) before, during and after examination.
