The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of 12-week exercise, applied to obese individuals, on body composition and life quality. Experimental group between the ages 23-66 n:21 (10 men, 11women) average of ages: 44,52 ±9.88 and control group n:25 (12 men, 13 women) average of ages: 43.68±10.93, totally 46 obese individuals joined in this study. Aerobic exercise program including 12-week of walking and running which is 4 days a week has been applied to the experimental group. Any exercise program hasn't been applied to the control group. In order to determine the body compositions, both groups have been measured with bioelectrical impedance analyzer (InBody230, InBody Co. Ltd., USA) a week before and a week later. In order to determine the life quality, test of SF-36 has been applied. For the analysis of data, the comparison of the binary groups, t-test has been applied after finding the differences between first test and the last test. For the comparison of the first test and the last test of each group, paired sample t-test has been applied. Our findings show that, when the first and the last test results of the experimental group are analyzed, statistically in a positive way a significant variation in the whole body composition and SF-36 life quality scale parameters has been detected (p<0.05). According to the first and the last test results of control group, while any significant difference hasn't been detected in the body composition parameters (p>0.05), decline in a negative way has been determined in the SF-36 life quality scale results (p<0.05). When the first and last test results of experimental and control groups are compared, a significant variation in the whole body composition parameters and sub-dimensions of SF-36 life quality scale on behalf of experimental group has been detected (p<0.05). In conclusion, it can be said that 12- week of walking and running exercises affect body composition parameters and life quality of obese individuals positively.

The present study aims to find the correlation between loss of body weight and health related fitness parameters in obese individuals subjected to 12 weeks of structured exercise program. Background: There have been studies in past on obesity management wherein the main outcome measure is considered as loss in body weight whereas the changes in fitness parameter are totally ignored. It has also been observed that after the initial weight loss there is not much substantial decline in weight after certain period and there are chances of patient getting demotivated even when fitness parameters may continue to increase. Therefore fitness parameters should be given due importance in obesity management. Hence it is important to study the association between the quantum of weight loss and health related fitness parameters over a period time. Furthermore, the influence of exercise training on physical fitness parameters in obese Indian individuals has not been much explored. So, the purpose...

Comparison of Functional Capacity among Obese and Non-Obese Young AdultsBackground: The Six minute walk test (6MWT) is a very useful, reliable, safe and easy to a Administer assessment tool for the functional capacity of obese and non-obese individuals. Objectives: The study aimed to comparison of functional capacity among obese and non-obese young adult. Material and Methods: A descriptive type of observation study was carried out. Total 50 participants were taken. The study was conducted by dividing selected population into two groups based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. namely obese (Group A) and non-obese (Group B). These groups of 25 individuals each were divided according to their BMI based on the WHOs percentile Guidelines for adult. The participants were asked to perform six minute walk test using obese and non-obese individuals. Baseline measurement were measured with both group end of the six minute walk distance. The data was analyzed using appropriate statistical method. Results: After performing six minute walk test using compared both the group A (obese) 488±20.36 meter and group B (non-obese) 608±30.8 meter,6MWD were measured and mean standard deviation were was carried using statistical analysis, then this both the group were compared using T-values 16.192 and P-values 0.0001 was seen. This test shows significant. Conclusion: In conclusion, different factors contribute to 6MWD in obese and non-obese individuals. This study concluded that obese participants decrease the six minute walk distance as compared to the non-obese participants. This show that the obese participants have got lower functional capacity when compared the non-obese group.

A meta-analysis was performed to determine impact of resistance and aerobic exercise on body fat of obese population. Database of Google Scholar, BioMed Central, and Medline was reconnoitered for the purpose of research article of interest. Inclusion criteria encompass all those studies in which effects of aerobic and resistance exercise were determined on body fat mass of obese participants. Studies in which combination of aerobic and resistance exercise were used, or outcome measures were other than body fat mass or studies conducted before 2010 were excluded from this review. A total of 805 obese participants were included in 10 randomized controlled trials (RCT) including 401 in resistance training protocol and 404 in aerobic training protocol were part of this meta-analysis. Results revealed that resistance exercise had a mild pool affect in increasing weight of participants with an effect size (SMD) of 0.26 (95% of CI -0.09 to 0.63) calculated at random effect model, I2 83.80%...
