In this research, it was aimed to compare some motoric and technical characteristics between athletes of 12 Dev Adam Basketball School (12 DABO) and TOFAŞ Basketball School (TOFAŞ BO) athletes in Van province in 2004. The study included basketball education in these schools; with a total of 30 athletes aged between10-12. In the study, body weight, height measurement, vertical jump, sit lengthening, 30 m speed, shooting, turnstile and ball riding tests were applied. During the 7-month training period, tests were carried out in the third week of study and two weeks before the end of the study. There was a significant difference between the groups in the pre-test vertical jump parameters (p <0.05). There was a significant difference between the pre and post test groups in all parameters except TOFAS BO athletes' vertical jump and throwing parameters (p <0.05). Significant changes observed in the final test near all of the measured technical and motoric characteristics of the athletes of both schools indicate that schools are successful in their work and that statistical differences between schools may be due to the similarity of schools' training programs. On the other hand, in the vertical jump pre-test, the values favoring TOFAŞ BO were not statistically significant but they were closed by 12 DABO in the last test and reached close values. This can be attributed to the strength and speed exercises made by body weights in the standard movements section of 12 DABO athletes practice during training.

Relations Between Motor Abilities and Basketball Skills of 13-14 Year Old Students2022 •
The experiment deals with young people aged 13-14 years, male. Basketball team active and inactive, active group in addition to regular classes; they also practice basketball in clubs within the city. The experiment contains a total of eight morphological variables; five variables are the basic motor tests, while three tests of motor skills, situational. In this research, it applied test method T-group basketball between active and inactive, and morphological variables of specific movement skills. The study includes a total of 60 entities male group of 30 active students and other inactive group, who have undergone the tests provided for this study. Keywords: young basketball, basic motor skills tests and specific tool testing instruments, methods of T-test etc.
In this study, it was aimed to compare the anthropometric characteristics, somatotype profiles, some biomotorical performances and basketball-specific skill levels of basketball players who were at different age levels, in adolescence period and were training with the same training methodology. The participants were 41 basketball players who were in the age range of 12-14 years, regularly trained and played basketball in the local youth setup leagues. The participants' body height, body weight, vertical jump, 1-mile run, aerobic power, anaerobic power, skinfold thickness (triceps, subscapula, suprailiac, calf), circumference (biceps flexion, calf), diameter measurements (humerus bicondylar, femur bicondylar) were made. Basketball-specific skills were determined using the Harrison Basketball Skill Test while the somatotype characteristics were determined according to the Heath-Carter method. Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests were used to determine whether the data were suitable for normal distribution. One-Way ANOVA test was used to examine the differences between the variables and Tukey test was used to investigate the cause of differences. Normality tests and other statistical analyses were performed at the significance level of 0.05. A significant difference was noted in humerus bicondylar diameters according to the age levels of basketball players and a statistical difference was detected in the data of vertical jump and anaerobic power in terms of biomotorical performance (p <0,05). The cause of this difference was found to be due to the fact that the humerus diameter, vertical jump and anaerobic power values in the age group of 14 age years were higher than the values of the other two age groups. No difference was found when the Umut Canlı COMPARISON OF ANTHROPOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS, BIOMOTORICAL PERFORMANCE AND SKILL LEVELS OF 12-14 YEARS OLD BASKETBALL PLAYERS European Journal of Physical Education and Sport Science-Volume 3 │ Issue 4 │ 2017 14 somatotype profiles and basketball-specific skill levels were compared according to age levels (p> 0,05). In conclusion, in our study group, we did not find any difference among other anthropometric characteristics, somatotype profiles, and basketball specific skills except humerus diameter. We suggest that the difference in the vertical jump and anaerobic power values of biomotorical performance is due to the increase in the strength ratio along with the increase in age level.

Comparative Analysis of the Physical Development and Specific Efficiency of Students-Basketball Players from Turkey2017 •
This study aims to examine the effect of 12-week regular basic basketball trainings on anthropometric measurements and vertical jump of children aged 8-10. The experimental group of the research consisted of 40 children whose average age was 9.04 ± 0.77 years and the control group consisted of 38 children whose average age was 8.97±0.72 years. Ability selection was made in order to determine these 78 children forming the experimental and control group. Pretest measurements of 40 children in the experimental group were made before basic basketball trainings that would last for 12 weeks and posttest measurements were made after trainings. The same measurements were taken from the other 38 children in the control group, yet any training was not applied to them. Basic basketball education was given in line with complete recovery principle to the experimental group for 12 weeks-three days a week and 90 minutes a day. SPSS 15.00 package program was used in order to evaluate the data obtained from the study and form the tables. Student's t test was used in the comparison of the experimental and control groups. Also, Wilcoxon test was used in the comparison of each group's pretests and posttests. The values of p<0.01 and p<0.05 were accepted as significance level for all statistical analysis. As a result, there was not a significant differences found between anthropometric measurements and vertical jump of the children after the basketball training. Keywords: Basketball education, training, anthropometric measurements, vertical jump.
RELATIONS BETWEEN MOTORIC ABILITIES AND SPECIFIC MOTORIC BASKETBALL SKILLS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES
RELATIONS BETWEEN MOTORIC ABILITIES AND SPECIFIC MOTORIC BASKETBALL SKILLS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSESThe aim of this study was to determine the relation between motoric and specific motoric basketball skills in physical education classes for elementary school students. The sample was taken from a population of boys and girls in four elementary schools in Niš. Boys (66) and girls (58), have been students of elementary school, 10 years old and all of them have been attending regular physical education classes three times a week. For the assessment of motoric abilities, a set of 12 motoric tests was applied: Explosive strength: squat jump, squat jump arms swing and drop jump; Speed: 20m running from a low start, orbiting hand and orbiting leg; Coordination: jumping over the horizontal rope, envelope test and figure „8“ with bending; Accuracy: darts, shooting with the ball at horizontal target and stiletto. For the assessment of specific motoric basketball skills a set of six tests was applied: elevations precision of ball passing with two hands, horizontal precision of ball passing with two hands, orbiting ball around the body, orbiting ball through the legs (figure „8“), dribble around a central circle of the basketball court and dribble two "small eights" around two adjacent circles of basketball court. In data processing canonical correlation and regression analysis were used. The results showed that motoric abilities significantly contributed to success of specific motoric tests performance both with boys and also with girls.
