This study was prepared with the aim of determining the attitudes of the parents about students who study the formal secondary schools affiliated the Ministry of Education of Adıyaman province to physical education lessons. Target population of the research is 435 parents whose children attending secondary education institutions affiliated to the central district of Adıyaman in the academic year 2016-2017. The attitude scale consisting of 21 items was used in the research. Attitude scale consists of 4 sub-dimensions. These dimensions are; perceptive, functional, supportive and important. As a result; it is seen that there is a meaningful difference between the attitudes of the parents towards the physical education lesson according to the sporting situations and educational status of the parents.
The present study was undertaken to compare Attitude of parents towards Physical Education and Sports of I.C.S.E School and State Board School. To identify the attitudes of the parents towards Physical Education and Sports the researcher was selected 200 parents of ICSE and State Board Schools of Dombivli. The data was analyzed by using percentile and standard statistics technique –‘t’ test. The findings of the study shows that, there was a significant difference in Attitude of Parents between ICSE Schools and State Board Schools in relation to Physical Education and Sports.
The physical education course, which is an indispensable element of education, does not only provide students with the development of physical aspects; they also play an important role in their cognitive, social and emotional development. The knowledge and skills that are based on physical education course during formal education are becoming more meaningful with extracurricular sport activities carried out in conjunction with specialists within a specific plan and program. Extracurricular sports activities function as complementary to the physical education course. The aim of this study is to determine the attitudes of parents towards physical education courseand extracurricular sports activities. The study was designed with an relational screening model from the quantitative research approach. The research group was composed of parents of students in different high schools (Anatolian High School, Science High School, Sports High School, Fine Arts High School) and class levels (9, 10, 11 and 12) in Kırıkkale. Data were obtained by means of "Parental Attitude Scale for Extracurricular Activities" developed by Yilmaz and Güven (2015) and "Physical Education Course Attitude Scale for Parents" developed by Öncü ve Güven (2011). In the data analysis was used t-test, one way variance analysis, simple linear regression analysis and Pearson Correlation test. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was conducted to provide evidence of the validity of the measurement tools. As a result, physical education is a predictor of extracurricular sport activities. 41.1% of the extracurricular sports activities explain the physical education lesson. While parents' attitudes towards physical education course and extracurricular sport activities did not differ according to educational status, parent's attitudes differed according to the sporting situation, the class level and school type of children. EBEVEYNLERİN BEDEN EĞİTİMİ DERSİ VE DERS DIŞI SPORTİF ETKİNLİKLERE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARI ÖZ Eğitimin vazgeçilmez unsuru olan beden eğitimi dersi, öğrencilerin sadece fiziksel açıdan gelişimleri sağlamakla kalmayıp; onların bilişsel, sosyal, duygusal gelişimlerinde de önemli rol üstlenmektedir. Örgün eğitimden arda kalan zamanlarda beden eğitimi dersinde temelleri atılan bilgi ve beceriler; belirli plan ve program dahilinde uzmanlar eşliğinde gerçekleştirilen ders dışı sportif etkinlikle daha anlamlı hale gelmektedir. Ders dışı sportif etkinlikler beden eğitimi dersinin tamamlayıcısı niteliğinde işlev görmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı beden eğitimi dersi ve ders dışı spor etkinliklere yönelik ebeveynlerin tutumlarını belirlemektir. Araştırma nicel araştırma yaklaşımından ilişkisel tarama modeli ile tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma grubunu Kırıkkale İl merkezindeki farklı liselerde (Anadolu Lisesi, Fen Lisesi, Spor Lisesi, Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi) ve sınıf seviyelerinde (9, 10, 11 ve 12) öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynleri oluşturmuştur. Veriler Yılmaz ve Güven (2015) tarafından geliştirilen " Ders Dışı Sportif Etkinliklere Yönelik Ebeveyn Tutum Ölçeği " ve Öncü ve Güven (2011) tarafından geliştirilen " Ana Babalar İçin Beden Eğitimi Dersi Tutum Ölçeği " ölçme araçları aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Veri analizinde t-testi, Tek yönlü varyans analizi, basit doğrusal regresyon analizi ve Pearson Correlation testi kullanılmıştır. Ölçme araçlarının yapı geçerliğine kanıt için Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak beden eğitimi dersi ders dışı sportif etkinliklerin yordayıcısıdır. Ders dışı sportif etkinliklerin %41.1'ini beden eğitimi dersi açıklamaktadır. Ebeveynlerin beden eğitimi dersi ve ders dışı sportif etkinliklere yönelik tutumları eğitim durumuna göre farklılık göstermezken; spor yapma durumu, çocukların okudukları sınıf seviyesi ve okul türüne göre farklılık göstermektedir.

In this study, the effects of parental attitudes on physical education course attitudes were examined on a group of the adolescents. The research population was made up of a total of 229 8 th grade primary school students, and 113 (49.3%) of whom were female and 116 (50.7%) of whom were male. The parenting styles scale and physical education course attitude scale were administered on the research population. The questions for determining age and gender variables were asked together with the physical education course attitude scale. Descriptive statistics were utilized in line with the obtained data. Furthermore, the t-test was performed for the comparison of arithmetic means of physical education course attitude levels with respect to gender, the correlation analysis was conducted for the determination of the relations between sub-dimensions of the parental attitudes and physical education course attitude scale, and the regression analysis was performed for determination to which extent sub-dimensions of the parental attitudes predict physical education course attitudes. As a result, it was seen that adolescents display positive attitudes towards the physical education course, that they do not differ in terms of gender, that authoritarian mothers adopt a positive attitude towards the physical education course and positively influence physical education course attitude levels of the adolescents. Effect of parental attitude toward physical activity on sport participation of their children in school2014 •
ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, çocukların ders dışı sportif etkinliklere katılımlarına yönelik ebeveyn tutumlarını ölçen geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Bu çalışma Kırıkkale il ve ilçelerdeki liselerde öğrenim gören 9., 10., 11. ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerinin velileri üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya 113 (%45,8)'ü anne, 134 (%54,2)'ü baba olmak üzere toplam 247 ebeveyn katılmıştır. Bu çalışmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerliğini test etmek amacıyla uzman görüşü ve literatür taraması neticesinde oluşan 46 madde üzerinde açımlayıcı faktör analizi ve 17 madde üzerinde doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Faktör analizi sonucunda ölçek 3 alt boyut ve 17 maddeden oluşmuştur. Bu boyutlar, literatür taraması ve ilişkili faktörlerde toplanan maddelerin içerikleri dikkate alınarak " Kişisel Gelişim " , " Akademik Algı " ve " Sosyal Destek " olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Ölçekteki madde yük değerleri 0,570 ile 0,914 arasında değişmektedir. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini test etmek amacıyla Croanbach Alfa güvenirlik kat sayısı hesaplanmış, bu değer 0,91 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak, ders dışı sportif etkinliklere yönelik ebeveynlerin tutumlarını ölçmek için hazırlanan ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları neticesinde kullanılabilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to development a tool valid and reliable that maesure parents' attitude towards participation to extracurricular sport activity of their children. This study was carried out parents of childrens who took part high schools in Kırıkkale. 247 parents, namely 113 (%45,8) mother and 134 (%54,2) father, whose children took part 9 th , 10 th , 11 th and 12 th grades, participated into the study. This study was used survey method. It was carried out that exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis concerning 46 items formed by means of consideration of expert opinion and literature review in order to examine validity of scale. It was determined that the scale is 3 sub-factor and the number of items is 17. These dimensions were titled as " Personality Development " , " Academic Perception " and " Social Support ". The item loads value change between 0, 570 and 0, 914. Croanbach Alfa was calculated in order to review scale's reliability and this value was found as 0,91. As a consequennce; it was determined as utilizable measurement tool in the outcome of scales' reliabity and validity the studies prepared in order to measure attitudes toward extracurricular sport activity.
